We built a fort.
I went up to Norwich a couple weeks ago for a whirlwind 24 hours of manic photoshoots with Sophie! Hectic it was, but luckily it was also a success! Here is an image we shot at 1am in the morning, in her bedroom, lit only with fairy lights and candles. Her concept was centred around the overall theme of the colour White, and also children’s forts – it made me want to build one at home like I used to when I was a kid, and just hide in it all day!
You can just make out a bunch of photobooth snaps on the wall underneath the fairy lights – I approve. Massive fan.

I’ve been wanting to release my inner child and make a fort in my room for aaages but it’s hard to justify as a 21 year old! When Annelise showed me this gorgeous nightgown I knew the time had come to get building! I lit this shot with a selection of continuous lights from fairy lights to candles to lamps. I wanted it to look as organic as possible.
In some ways I guess this is a bit of a self portrait, this room is where all my ideas come to their head and it’s filled with little parts of me, for example the photobooth photos on the wall. It’s full of beautiful little things and it was lovely to add Annelise to that list and take some photographs, hope you like it!
PS. I advise everyone to build a fort in their room as soon as they can!
